WE HAD A COOL TIME IN CABBAGETOWN
The Cabbagetown Holiday Kick off on Sat. Nov. 26th was an entirely free event and included wagon rides, snacks, a live choir, kids crafts and even a visit from the jolliest of guys. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate and especially our friends at The Scullery, House On Parliament and The Epicure Shop for sponsoring the eats 😀 See our Facebook album here.

HELP GROW MORE GREEN THUMBS IN OUR HOOD
Since 1999 Green Thumbs has been connecting kids to nature through gardening. Students at Sprucecourt, Winchester Park and Rose Avenue schools receive greenhouse and garden expertise while volunteers ensure hands-on experiences for everyone. In summer, Green Thumbs mobilizes the community to join the children in the school gardens, growing and harvesting everything from amaranth to zucchini.
This winter the group is animating the new Regent Park Greenhouse and continuing their food literacy programs. You can support their efforts by purchasing donation gift cards to send family and friends who appreciate supporting kids locally. $10 purchases seed to feed a class healthy spring greens. $25 purchases a berry shrub for a school garden. Other denominations available. Click here to buy a donation gift card!
