The 39th annual Cabbagetown Festival takes place this weekend. Filled with food, music, special vendors and amazing entertainment you will want to join us both days! Find out more about just some of the activities in this special edition Cabbagetown Happenings!

FILM FESTIVAL!

The Cabbagetown Short Film & Video Festival moves to a new larger location this year at Daniels Spectrum. 13 short films will be showcased WEDNESDAY, September 9th and tickets are only $15.  A few tickets will be available at the box office doors starting at 7pm.

Global News At the Festival/Opening Ceremonies

Join Chief Meteorologist Anthony Farnell at the Cabbagetown Festival and attend our opening ceremonies 2pm Saturday at TD Bank at Carlton and Parliament Street with Anthony as Master of Ceremonies.

Special guests include Luba Goy one of Canada’s favourite comedians, Glen Murray, MPP Toronto Centre and others including the Cabbagetown BIA volunteer board.

Cabbagetown Theatre at the Festival

The Cabbagetown Theatre Company presents the “we-take-liberties-with-all-kinds-of-fairy-tales” production of Goldilocks: Beyond The Bears – a panto-style comedy for all ages. Performances are at the Necropolis Chapel, 200 Winchester St., across from Riverdale Farm. Shows run 30 minutes and take place at 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm,3pm & 4pm on Sat, Sept 12th & Sun Sept 13th.
Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.

St James Town Festival Cabbagetown Art & Crafts Sale

Be sure to also visit neighbouring St. James Town Festival on Saturday Sept 12th 1pm – 7pm. with raffles, giveaways, sports & games, a food bazaar, community info booths, music and dance for all ages. More info can be found here.

Blair’s Run At The Festival

The 36th annual Blair’s Run returns to the Cabbagetown Festival on Sunday September 13th. All proceeds go towards programs at the Cabbagetown Youth Centre. Registration will be at 8amwith a 9am race start time. You are encouraged to sign up in advance for this popular event.
