Who is a BIA Member?

All owners and tenants of commercially zoned properties within our boundaries are members of the Cabbagetown BIA. All members are eligible to run to be a Board Director and participate in the Annual General Meeting where the BIA’s budget is considered.

Commercial businesses located in a Heritage Designated building are eligible to receive a rebate from the City of Toronto covering the costs of maintenance and conservation work associated with your heritage building.

One Cabbagetown’s greatest assets is our collection of beautifully preserved Victorian Buildings. We invite our members to actively consider ways they may contribute to Cabbagetown’s charming heritage.

Facade Improvement Grant

BIA members are eligible to receive a grant from the City of Toronto covering 50% of costs (up to $10,000) for improving the exterior of their business.

A facade improvement is an incredible way to brighten up your storefront, and contribute to the overall aesthetic of Cabbagetown. A warm, welcoming exterior can do wonders for your business, and for the area.

We strongly encourage all members to apply. There is limited funding available allocated on first-come - first-serve basis.
