Single Use Plastics
The City of Toronto is considering methods to reduce the use of single use plastics.
In 2018, the City of Toronto undertook consultations to identify opportunities to reduce the use of single-use and takeaway items in Toronto. This process included asking which items residents, businesses and other stakeholders were most interested in addressing and the preferred approaches to reduce these items or promote additional reuse. The City is currently requesting feedback from stakeholders regarding approaches to reduction. Please follow below to take part in this survey that may have profound effects on our city’s carbon footprint, and the day-to-day of residents.
Feedback will be accepted until November 4, 2019.
