New Training and funding programs for young entrepreneurs (Business in the Streets) - Apply before August 25
Business in the Streets (BITS) is a Canadian charity that provides underserved and underrepresented young people access to top-tier business training, mentorship, funding, and ongoing business support. Their programs and events are specially designed for young people who are ready to embark on an entrepreneurial journey and are interested in pursuing their own economic opportunities.
With an increasing ageing population, youth will become the driving force of the Canadian economy in the next ten years. However, many young people are unable to afford quality, hands-on business training in order to thrive in today’s rapidly changing business environment. BITS works directly with youth to support them in creating and sustaining economic opportunities that work for them.
What BITS offers:
Professional and knowledgeable staff and volunteers who are ready to provide training, peer-mentorship, and funding under one roof
A range of mentors and industry professionals who provide young entrepreneurs with ongoing support, guidance, and feedback.
Access to funding opportunities in the form of business grants, loans, and scholarships at every stage of the business development process.
Applications for BITS fall programs are now open for entrepreneurs ages 18 to 34. Programs include the YCEO program, an 8-week virtual business training program with an opportunity to receive a $1000 grant and the BITS Boot Camp program that is aimed at small business owners currently in operations requiring additional support and access to the BITS Bucks $5000 Micro Finance Program. Applications are open until August 25. Learn more and apply here.
