Ward 13 Community Park Naming Contest

The City of Toronto is inviting residents of Ward 13 and students in the area to participate in The Community Park Naming Contest.

The City of Toronto is currently hosting a park naming public consultation and community engagement is very important to their office, especially when it comes to our youth and future community leaders of Ward 13. It is important for the opinions of youth who utilize these spaces, just as much as the ideas of adult residents in our ward.

It is requested that each person participating provide:

• Their name

• Their home school (for students)

• What grade they are in (for students)

• What they like most about their neighbourhood

• Name for each park

• Short explanation of why they chose the name for each park

The winning idea will receive a Ceremonial Certificate and the winning school will receive a Ceremonial Plaque from the City of Toronto.

Deadline: Submissions will be accepted until August 1st, 2023
