Workshop: Welcome Cyclists to Your Business

Are you staff, a manager or an owner of a tourism-oriented business (cafe, restaurant, accommodation, attraction, gallery, brewery, etc.) in Toronto? Join Ontario By Bike in-person on Monday, November 21 or online November 22 and 28 for a free workshop to learn about how to tap into the growing cycling and cycle tourism market, how this is good for your business, and how to get certified as bicycle friendly, plus in-person networking opportunities and a chance to learn about cycling developments in Toronto and across the province.

The Ontario By Bike / Transportation Options is a not-for-profit organization based in Toronto that promotes cycling and cycle tourism in Ontario. They are hosting a workshop and webinar series in November that they think would be of interest to member businesses. Our BIA's proximity to the Don Valley trails and other great cycling infrastructure makes this a excellent opportunity.

The workshops are part of the Ontario By Bike Program Expansion for Toronto, where they are expanding Bicycle Friendly Certification to all their program categories, including: overnight accommodations, food services businesses (restaurants/cafes), tourist attractions, business areas, and bicycle-related listings (bike shops/tours/rentals). Certified businesses get a directory listing on their website, appear on their Ontario By Bike map, and are linked to from the Toronto cycling resources page they publish, where cyclists can discover certified businesses while looking for local cycling information.

In Person Workshop: Monday, November 21, 10am-noon at Toronto City Hall, Committee Room 1

Online Workshop: November 22 and 28 - welcoming-cyclists-toronto-ontariobybike.eventbrite.ca
