Better Buildings Navigation & Support Services provides building owners, operators, and property managers support navigating the process of improving the energy efficiency of their buildings and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. These improvements help decrease operating costs, increase occupant comfort, and improve the overall value of buildings.

Better Buildings Navigation & Support Services can help you to:

  • Work with you one-on-one, offering tailored support every step of the way

Eligibility

Owners, operators and property managers of most Commercial, Industrial, Institutional and Multi-Unit Residential buildings in Toronto are eligible to participate. Examples include Offices, Shopping and Retail, Hotels, Long Term Care Homes, Warehouses, Condominiums and Apartments.

Owners and managers of apartment buildings can also benefit from the City’s Hi-RIS retrofit and STEP benchmarking programs.

Complete the Navigation & Support Services Application  to the best of your ability and email it to bbp@toronto.ca. City staff will contact you to better understand your needs and inform you of next steps.

Other Energy Incentives & Financing

Financial incentives for projects aimed at reducing electricity and natural gas consumption are provided through the IESO and Enbridge respectfully. Access the following incentives currently available for Toronto buildings to help fund your energy efficiency projects:

For financing options, the City of Toronto offers low-interest loans through its Energy Retrofit Loan program to help building owners improve the energy efficiency of their buildings.
