Bandology presents: Shan Fernando and Hayley Festeryga
Bandology is a non-profit organization that tries to bring more music to more kids. Bandology’s Play-A-Gig program helps to bring performance opportunities to all musicians who wish to share their talents and love of music with the community.
At the Parkscape, we will be featuring Shan Fernando and Hayley Festeryga.
Shan Fernando is a GTA based artist and is best known as a singer/songwriter specializing in pop music. He writes his music with different themes in mind, including mental health, acceptance, and pursuing passions.
Hayley Festeryga is a student at the University of Western Ontario studying music. She sings a variety of music including pop, rock and classical music, and has also performed in many musicals at the National Theatre School of Drama.
Joseph Landau
Joseph Landau is an accordionist and singer who plays folk hits from around the Globe. Everything from French Musettes to Bulgarian Tangos, and even a little Raffi for the whole family to enjoy. Come on down and say hello!
Tim Collins Band
The Tim Collins Band is a great time. We hope you can make it out to see us play and sing along to classic hits!
With well over 1,000 hours combined experience on stage, me and my friends have seen many different musical situations. I've spent months at sea performing on cruise ships. I've played at weddings and parties in Toronto. And soon we'll come to Cabbagetown to rock the house. Hope to see you there!

Power of Soul
Power of Soul is a Toronto based soul/Motown/funk collective led by lead singer Shane Jacob Philips. They have been staples of the Toronto music scene for years, and can regularly be found playing at the Reservoir Lounge, Mrs Robinson, Function Bar and a variety of other venues in downtown Toronto. They play soul, funk and R&B from the 60’s and 70’s. Expect to hear everything from Stevie Wonder to Otis Redding to Marvin Gaye and everything in between.
Malia Love
Malia began singing in a Gospel Choir as a young girl where she won multiple awards and excelled beyond anyone’s expectations.
Her powerful vocals and incredible dynamic range enables her to masterfully cover some of the greatest artists of our time including Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, Chaka Khan.
Malia also has a portfolio of original music that reflects her sincere passion for human rights and inclusivity that she’s in the process of recording.

Introducing The Sean Stanley Trio to our Live Music in the Park series! This marvellous group play a mix of Jazz, Swing and the Blues. Be prepared to hear the likes of Louis Armstrong, Lester Young, Ray Charles as well as some original compositions.
Featuring Juno winner Kyle Tarder-Stoll on the tenor-sax, Max Simpson on the bass, and Sean Stanley on the keys and vocals.

Toronto All-Star Big Band
One of the most exciting bands around, the Toronto All-Star Big Band revives the spirit style and sound of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s – that golden age of the big bands.
Armed with brilliant programming, choreography and engaging cultural nostalgia, this vibrant cast of awesome young talent has earned its position at the top of list of presenters throughout Ontario and in the USA. Comprised of young musicians ages 18-24, TABB entertains audiences of all generations with classic big band selections originally performed by Frank Sinatra, Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald and many more.
Roger Scannura
Roger Scannura Flamenco Guitarist/Composer Roger Scannura is an internationally recognized flamenco guitarist and a leading exponent of Nuevo Flamenco. Scannura was born on the history drenched island of Malta. His early schooling began at the Franciscan Monastery of St. Theresa where he was tutored in European history, Latin, fine art and art restoration. He has been immersed in music since early childhood and mastered the techniques and nuances of Flamenco guitar while in Spain for 12 years under the auspices of Pepe Habichuela and other gypsy masters.
He has toured Europe and North America as a soloist and as a Music Director for several flamenco dance companies. He is also a founder of the acclaimed Toronto based dance company Ritmo Flamenco. Scannura with his group has performed for prime ministers, dignitaries as well as an assortment of celebrities including, Russell Crowe and Sting.
Scannura has recorded eight CD’s of original flamenco music encompassing both traditional and modern styles. “Rarely is flamenco guitar played so eloquently with just the right amount of passion and grace”- 20th Century Guitar Magazine.
JV’s Boogaloo Squad
Toronto-based pianist and composer Joel Visentin is a proud Winnipeg export and multi-faceted artist. As a busy working musician in Toronto he has worked with a number of celebrated world class musicians. A few notable examples are: Jack Dekeyzer (Juno winner), Kelly Lee Evans (Juno winner), Darryl Neudorf (grammy nominee), Barbra Lica (Juno nominee), Ruben Studdard, Ingrid Jensen (Juno winner). In 2015 he joined up with the unparalleled guitarist Adam Beer-Colacino and veteran Toronto drummer Jeff Halischuk to form the group of his dreams, JV’s Boogaloo Squad. They have since worked their way up through the national club circuit, recently headlining at major jazz festivals throughout Ontario and Québec including Toronto's International Jazz Festival in 2018. In the short time since the release of their 2019 album, "Going to Market", JV's Boogaloo Squad has reached #6 on US Campus Jazz Radio charts as well as number #29 on JazzWeek's chart for US commercial Radio. Brad Barker of Jazz FM 91 has even named this project one of three "new jazz albums from 2019 that you need to hear".

Led by local musician/instructor Ronny Shinder, with Charissa Willson on vocals, and Wendy Weston on UBass. We jam through a solid list of songs that are fun to sing and play together.

George Crotty
Canadian cellist/composer George Crotty’s inquisitive eclecticism embraces fiddle-derived ornamentation, the agile one-finger gestures of Indian classical music, adapted electric guitar techniques, and the bold articulations of jazz bass. One half of the Loose Roots Duo with West Coast fiddler Gabriel Dubreuil, and leader of his titular world-jazz inflected Trio, the Toronto-based Crotty’s modernist genre-bending is heavily influenced by his hometown’s vibrant pluralism.
The George Crotty Trio’s Four String Nomad (2019) showcases his expressive fluidity and modal orientation. Versed in many styles, the world-jazz outfit speaks an inclusive language drawing inspiration from all over. Their cross-cultural interplay draws on diverse influences within jazz and world music including post-bop, modal jazz, Indian Raga, and Arabic Maqam. Their second album 'Chronotope' will be released in July 2022.
Following his graduation from the eminent Berklee College of Music, he joined a number of ensembles such as the Canadian Arabic Orchestra, Detroit-based National Arab Orchestra, and New York's Brooklyn Raga Massive in addition to collaborating with the likes of Darol Anger, Simon Shaheen, Paquito D'Rivera and Anat Cohen. From 2019-2020 he served as the cello chair on the North American tour of Broadway musical, The Band’s Visit.
