Florescent Light Tube Pick-Up

Residents have recently been finding florescent light tubes on Parliament Street put out for garbage. The glass is very fragile and can easily shattered which creates problems for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. Aside from that, they also contain mercury, a carcinogen, which has the potential to get into residents drinking water via the storm drains and out to the Lake.

If you have any florescent light tubes to discard please reach out to Jannette Porter who has kindly offered to collect any unwanted florescent light tubes businesses no longer want. She can be reached at 416-921-7737.
