The Cabbagetown BIA is thrilled to announce Easter In The Patch, inviting friends and family to discover and rediscover the energetic and charming community of Cabbagetown.

Easter In The Patch is a two-fold event starting with an egg painting competition running from April 1 to April 8, 2023 where friends and families are invited to pick up a FREE egg painting kit at participating storefront businesses (one per household) to bring home, decorate and post on social media for the chance to win a cash prize, gift card, or basket using #CabbagetownEggPainting. 

On April 8, 2023, friends and families are invited to come out to Cabbagetown to participate in a traditional egg hunt competition at participating storefront businesses. On April 8, 2023 - visitors are invited to hop to Cabbagetown to participate in a traditional egg hunt where participating storefront businesses will have them hidden in their stores. All participants will get the chance to win amazing prizes.

Easter In The Patch: Egg Painting Competition: Friends and families are welcomed to pick up one (1) FREE Egg Painting Kit per household from participating storefront businesses in Cabbagetown to bring home, decorate and upload a photo of your favourite egg with the Event Postcard visible on Instagram using the hashtag #CabbagetownEggPainting for the chance to win a cash prize (TBD). The Kits will be available for pick up starting April 1st, 2023 and the competition will run from Saturday, April 1 to Saturday, April 8, 2023. Limited kits while supplies last.

Easter In The Patch: Egg Hunt Competition: Participants are invited to hop the streets in Cabbagetown for a fun and festive Egg Hunt Competition on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 11AM to 3PM. Participants will be able to locate the participating storefront businesses with the hidden eggs on the egg hunt map on our website. The eggs will be marked with an official Cabbagetown BIA sticker: participants will upload a photo with their eggs and stickers facing up on Instagram for a chance to win a cash prize in a random lucky draw using the hashtag #CabbagetownEggHunt.

Egg Painting Competition

  1. Pick up your FREE Egg Painting Kit (one per household) at a participating storefront business between April 1 - April 8, 2023. Limited kits while supplies last. Competition ends on April 8, 2023 at 11:59 PM

  2. You can pick up your Egg Painting kits at the following storefronts:

    • La Gloria Mexican Coffee Shop: 453 Parliament St.

    • The Epicure Shop: 473 Parliament St.

    • Playground Cafe: 492 Parliament St.

    • The Great Mallard: 503 Parliament St.

    • The Hair Lift Group: 503b Parliament St.

    • Royal LePage: 517 Parliament St.

    • The Frame Maker: 527 Parliament St.

    • Labour of Love: 223 Carlton St.

  3. Decorate your eggs with the painting kit and upload a photo with the Event Postcard visible on Instagram using the hashtag #CabbagetownEggPainting. If you do not have Instagram, please email a photo directly to bia@cabbagetownto.com before April 8, 2023, 11:59 PM.

  4. Winner(s) will be drawn and announced on On April 10, 2023 at 9 AM.

Egg Hunt Competition

  1. From 11 am - 3 pm on Saturday, April 8, use the egg hunt map to locate the participating storefront businesses with the hidden eggs. The eggs will be marked with an official Cabbagetown BIA sticker. 

  2. Upload a photo to Instagram with your eggs with stickers facing up for a chance to win a cash prize in a random lucky draw using the hashtag #CabbagetownEggHunt.

  3. Winner(s) will be drawn and announced on On April 10, 2023 at 9 AM

PLEASE FOLLOW ENTRY RULES TO BE ELIGIBLE:

  1. Valid entry must use the Egg Painting Kit provided and be placed with the Cabbagetown BIA Event Postcard included in the kit

  2. Limit of one (1) entry per Instagram or email account. Instagram accounts may need to be public for us to receive the entry. 

  3. The Cabbagetown BIA reserves the right to refuse any entry deemed inappropriate or non-compliance with the competition rules.
